This is a picture that was said on
E-bay to be a picture of the 3 McCoy
sons (Pharmer, Tolbert & Randal, Jr.) after they were killed by the Hatfields on
August 9, 1882. IT HAS NOT BEEN AUTHENTICATED!
The bodies of
the 3 were brought by sled to their father's home. John H.
"Brush" Scott, a descendant of my McCoy line was part of the group
of men who brought them home. John is pictured below.

John H. "Brush" Scott & wife
Harriet Farley. John was part of the detail that brought the
McCoy brother's bodies back to their father's home. John was a
cousin of Old Randall McCoy, father to the three boys.
John H. & his brother, Henderson, were ambushed
and shot by the Hatfield's. Per Truda McCoy in her book The
McCoys: Their Story. John was shot in the leg & Henderson in the
shoulder. It was thought they were accidentally shot because
the Hatfield's mistakenly thought Henderson was Old Randall.

Terry's grandfather indicated John walked with a limp the rest of his
life after he was shot. |
