| My grandmother, Fannie
Mae Davis Preston was the daughter of Jefferson Davis & Elizabeth
Walters.
The picture on the right is of her and my
grandfather, Claude C. Preston. These pictures were taken about 1925.

My paternal great, great grandparents, John M.
Walters & Sarah "Sally" Litteral. They were married October 5, 1859.

is a picture taken of them when they were older.

The gentleman in the rocker was my great
grandfather, Jefferson Davis, father to Fannie Mae Davis Preston.
The lady below is Lavina Ward Davis. She was
the mother of Jefferson Davis. The original of this picture is
a soot drawing. It is a very large portrait and hangs in my
sister
Susie's bedroom.

left is of Shadrack Ward & Elizabeth Litteral Walters.
Elizabeth was a sister of Sarah Litteral and
Shadrack was a brother of John M. Walters. |

The picture above is of my great grandparents, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Walters &
Jefferson Davis. The lived until age 91 and were married 69
years.
I am named Elizabeth after her. They call me Libby instead of Lizzie. |

Walters Davis with Elizabeth's sister, my great aunt, Sarah "Sally"
Walters Graham.

The picture on the left is of my great uncle,
Russell Davis. He enlisted during World War II in the Foreign
Service & was stationed in the Philippines. He was originally
listed as Missing In Action & actually declared dead in 1945. See

The picture at the far right is Jefferson & Elizabeth
Walters Davis' son Joseph Meredith Davis. Joe died at the age
of 21 of Typhoid Fever. His son Ingram was in World War II and
was one of the famed "Black Devils In Baggy Pants". See
